Fire & Rescue Services

Event Fire Cover

County Fire Brigade provides ‘first response’ fire and rescue services at events nationally around the UK from our base on the border of North Wales and Chester. Offering solutions for fire safety at large or small events.

Ranging from a single fire marshal to on-site fire appliances, with our experience and capabilities we can help reduce the risk of fire at events whilst giving you the peace of mind that you have the equipment and personnel to provide rapid intervention.

Fire Safety Training

A comprehensive, in-depth Fire Warden Training course can equip you with the knowledge needed to become a fully-trained Warden or Marshal. This programme provides complete knowledge, which coupled with the correct experience, leads to competence in this role.

Fire Extinguisher Testing

Fire extinguisher servicing should be conducted annually, with monthly visual self-checks, in-line with British Standard BS5306–3 & 8, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and your Fire Risk Assessment.

Servicing involves rigorous and comprehensive checking of all fire extinguisher components, by a competent, insured and authorised person, identifying faults, corrosion and partial or complete discharge.

Film & TV Work

We will work with you, your production team and Special Effects Supervisor to determine the level of fire cover required, and ensure all aspects of fire protection, health and safety and risk assessments are completed and correct.

Dry Riser Testing

The person responsible for a building or site is legally required to maintain all fire fighting equipment, including dry risers. The British Standard Code of Practice BS9990:2015 requires a full annual pressure test and six monthly visual check for dry risers for buildings above 18 metres and below 60 metres (buildings over 60 metres/18 storeys require wet risers).

Clause 7 of the Code states that inlets, landing valves, drain valves and landing valve boxes should be inspected every 6 months and recommends that wet tests be carried out annually when the main can be checked for leaks.

BS9990:2015 also states that maintenance and repairs should be carried out by a competent person. With County Fire & Rescue you can be confident that all work will be carried out in accordance with the Code of Practice.
